Book a Drop In Class

Jozi's Original...

Any yoga studio can tell you about improved flexibility and reduced stress. But not every studio has spent two decades perfecting the art of making yoga accessible, enjoyable, and transformative for real Jozi people with real Jozi lives.

We were here before yoga was cool, we'll be here after the next fitness trend comes and goes, and we've collected enough wisdom (and downward dog joke comebacks) to fill a book.

Hey, I'm Sally!

When I founded this studio 20 years ago, I wasn't floating around on a cloud of enlightenment or living on green juice. I was a regular woman who discovered that yoga could literally transform your life without requiring you to change your name to something unpronounceable.

People think yoga teachers have it all figured out, but most mornings, I'm still searching for my car keys, burning toast, and wondering if meditation counts if I'm mentally planning my grocery list the whole time.

What makes my approach different isn't my perfect handstand (though it's pretty good) – it's my commitment to honesty about the whole yoga journey. I'll be the first to tell you that I started yoga because I was lost - not because I had a spiritual awakening at dawn on a mountaintop.

Two decades, thousands of classes, and countless "I never thought I could do that" student moments later, I've built a studio that reflects my core belief: yoga isn't about escaping your life or becoming someone else – it's about finding the tools to navigate your actual, messy, beautiful life with a bit more grace and a lot less body pain.

Whether you're recovering from an injury, stressed beyond belief, or just curious what all the fuss is about, I welcome you exactly as you are – yoga experience optional, open mindedness essential.

We're not just another pristine white-walled yoga studio with Sanskrit chants playing on loop (though we respect that vibe). We're a double-level sanctuary overlooking the Wanderers Cricket Stadium, where sometimes your downward dog is accompanied by the rhythmic hum of groundskeepers tending to the cricket pitch.

Our space doubles as your urban retreat, where bird songs occasionally overpower the city noise, and where "taking a break" isn't considered a radical act of rebellion against productivity.

Our philosophy? Yoga should fit YOU, not the other way around. That's why we've got everything from sweaty Hot 26+ classes for the heat-seekers to gentle Yin for those who prefer their yoga with less perspiration and more contemplation.

Journal, meditate, or just stare into space considering your life choices we're cool with all of it. We believe in creating a community where authenticity trumps perfection, where progress isn't measured by how flexible you are, but by how present you become in your practice and beyond.

What We've Got (Besides Good Vibes)

Yes, we have all the fancy amenities—showers, changing rooms, free WiFi, and a Yoga Café serving smoothies that don't taste like lawn clippings. But what makes us different is the permission to be exactly who you are.

Forgotten your yoga mat? We've got spares.

Can't touch your toes? Join the club.

Need yoga leggings? Our comfy and stylish range will have you understanding why so many women walk around in them all day.
