 Class Types & Experience LevelÂ
What types of yoga classes do you offer?
We have a well-rounded menu of classes to satisfy every yogi appetite and offer both heated and unheated yoga experiences to suit your preferences and goals!
Our heated classes provide an intensified practice in a toasty room that promotes flexibility and detoxification. If you prefer a cooler environment, our unheated classes offer the same amazing benefits without the extra sweat factor.
Whatever your temperature preference, we've got a class that'll have you saying "nama-stay for another!"
What's the difference between all the yoga styles?
Each style offers a unique yoga experience:
Hot 26+: Our signature heated class based on the traditional Bikram sequence—26 postures and 2 breathing exercises in a hot room. Perfect for building strength, improving flexibility, and sweating out toxins!
Hot Flow: A dynamic, creative sequence of postures performed in our heated room. You'll move from pose to pose with your breath, building heat from the inside out while the room temperature adds an extra glow to your practice.
Flow: Our unheated vinyasa-style class links movement with breath for a moving meditation. Expect creative sequences that build strength and improve flexibility—all without the extra heat.
Yin: The cooler, calmer cousin in our yoga family. This unheated practice involves holding passive poses for 3-5 minutes to target deep connective tissues. It's the perfect complement to more active styles and a wonderful way to find stillness in our busy world.
Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?
Absolutely not!
That's like saying you need to be clean to take a shower! Yoga is how you GET flexible, not a flexibility contest.
The beauty of yoga is that every pose can be modified to meet you exactly where you are today. Our teachers are experts at offering variations for all body types and flexibility levels.
The only flexibility you truly need is in your mind!
Which classes are best for beginners?
In all honesty, all our classes are beginner friendly if you just take it at your own pace and maybe let the teacher know it's your first time.
If you're looking for a recommendation, try the Hot 26+ Express class if you're keen on heat, otherwise give the No Heat Flow 60min class a go.
The beauty of yoga is that every pose can be modified to meet you where you are today—no pretzel-like flexibility required!
PS: If you're new to our studio, click here to check out the First Timer's Special—it's a steal of a deal!
What is hot yoga and how is it different from regular yoga?
Hot yoga is like regular yoga's sweaty sibling! We heat the room to create a tropical paradise that helps loosen those muscles faster than you can say "sun salutation."
The heat intensifies the practice, increases flexibility, and adds a detoxifying element (though please don't plan on coming to help you sweat out last night's poor decisions).
Regular yoga offers the same amazing benefits but in room temperature that won't make your makeup perform a downward flow!
How hot is the room during hot yoga classes?
We keep our hot yoga room at a toasty 35-40°C with about 70% humidity—warm enough to make you feel like you're on a yoga retreat in Bali without actually paying for the airfare!
Don't let the numbers scare you off though—it's actually quite comfortable once your body adjusts, and the heat is therapeutic rather than overwhelming.
Many first-timers are surprised by how quickly they adapt and end up loving the warmth!
The heat is carefully monitored, so you'll be warm enough to melt away tension but not so hot that you'll contemplate a career change mid-warrior pose.
Can I switch between hot and regular yoga classes?
Absolutely!
You're free to play the field and explore all our classes.
Many yogis enjoy mixing it up—hot classes for deep detoxification and regular classes for focused technique work.
It's like having a yoga buffet—sample everything!
How long are your typical yoga classes?
Most of our classes are 60 minutes—just enough time to stretch your body and your mind without stretching your schedule! We do also offer 75 minute and 90 minute classes for those who want to really marinate in their practice. Time flies when you're having om!

 Preparation & What to BringÂ
What should I wear to yoga?
We recommend form-fitting attire rather than loose, baggy clothing for all classes—this helps our teachers see your alignment and muscle engagement so they can offer better guidance and adjustments.
Plus, baggy clothes tend to flop around in inversions, creating impromptu peekaboo moments nobody signed up for!
For hot yoga, think "less is more"—moisture-wicking synthetic fabrics like polyester, nylon, and specialized blends designed for athletic wear are great and go for form-fitting shorts or leggings and tops that don't mind getting a little (or a lot) sweaty.
Need some yoga gear, forgot half your outfit at home or need to refresh your yoga wardrobe? Our boutique retail shop offers a curated selection of high-quality yoga leggings, tops, and activewear that'll keep you comfortable both on and off the mat. Pop in before or after class to check out our latest styles!
What should I bring to class?
Your mat (or rent one of ours), a water bottle (hydration is key to not looking like a dried prune after class), a towel for hot classes (to mop up evidence of your hard work), and an open mind!
Leave your ego at the door—it takes up too much space on the mat anyway!
What kind of mat works best for hot yoga versus regular classes?
For hot yoga, you'll want a non-slip, grippy mat that won't turn into a slip 'n slide when things get steamy. Look for mats labeled "hot yoga friendly" or bring a yoga towel to lay over your regular mat.
For non-heated classes, any standard yoga mat will do—just make sure it has enough cushion to keep your knees happy in table top position. Remember: a good mat is like a good partner—supportive when things get tough!
Don't have the right mat? No worries! We sell high-quality yoga mats specifically chosen to handle both heated and non-heated practices in our boutique shop.
Our team can help you choose the perfect mat that matches your practice style, sweat level, and budget—all without the overwhelming options you'll find online.
How should I prepare before a hot yoga class?
Hydrate like it's your job!
Drink plenty of water throughout the day (not just 5 minutes before class).
Avoid heavy meals 2-3 hours before class unless you want your digestive system to stage a protest mid-twist.
Arrive a few minutes early to acclimate to the heat, and check your expectations at the door—some days you're a yoga god, other days you're just trying not to fall over.
Both are perfect!
How much water should I drink before/during/after hot yoga?
Before: Aim for at least 500-600 ml in the hours leading up to class, but more importantly, hydrate consistently throughout the day. The best preparation isn't chugging water right before class, but maintaining good hydration levels all day long!
During: Small sips as needed—this isn't a drinking game!
After: Replenish, replenish, replenish! At least 700 ml post-sweat session.
Think of it as washing your insides while you cleanse your spirit—two for one special!
Should I eat before coming to yoga? If so, how long before class?
Yoga on a full stomach is about as comfortable as doing twists in skinny jeans!
Try to avoid eating 2-3 hours before class, but if you're running on empty, a light snack (banana, small smoothie, handful of nuts) about 30-60 minutes prior is fine.
Nothing says "mindful practice" like practicing with a growling stomach, or worse, a stomach demonstrating its own version of wind-relieving pose!
Forgot to fuel up? No worries!
Our in-house yoga café offers perfect pre and post-practice snacks and refreshments designed specifically for yogis. From protein-packed smoothies to light energy bites, we've got nourishment that will support your practice rather than sabotage it.
Stop by after class to refuel and rehydrate in style!

 Health, Hygiene, Safety and InjuriesÂ
What hygiene practices do you recommend before and after yoga?
Before:
Good hygiene makes everyone's practice more pleasant! If you've had a long day, consider freshening up (we have showers available) before class. If you've enjoyed a garlic-heavy meal, brushing your teeth and popping a mint is a kindness your neighbors will appreciate. Skip the heavy perfume or cologne (your neighbors will thank you), and come with clean feet (since they'll be greeting the ceiling quite often).
And while we applaud detoxification, please don't use our hot room as your personal sauna to sweat out last night's tequila adventures—your fellow yogis can tell, trust us!
After:
A shower is your best friend, especially after hot yoga—unless you enjoy that "eau de yoga" scent lingering all day!
How is the studio ventilated and cleaned between yoga classes?
We air out rooms between classes, sanitize surfaces, and mop floors daily with eco-friendly cleaners. Our hot room get special attention with deep cleaning weekly.
We take cleanliness so seriously, you could practically eat off our floors—though we don't recommend testing this theory as a general rule.
Is hot yoga safe for everyone?
Hot yoga is safe for most healthy individuals, but it's not a one-size-fits-all practice.
It's like spicy food—some people thrive on the heat while others need to dial it down.
If you have cardiovascular issues, certain respiratory conditions, or are prone to heat sensitivity, check with your doctor before joining the hot room party.
Safety first - always!
Are there any health conditions that would prevent me from doing hot yoga?
Some conditions that might not play well with hot yoga include uncontrolled high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, heat sensitivity disorders, certain respiratory conditions, and some medications that affect heat tolerance.
When in doubt, check it out with your healthcare provider!
Regular yoga at room temperature might be your perfect match instead.
Can I practice hot yoga if I'm pregnant?
If you're expecting a little yogi, we generally recommend sticking to non-heated classes.
The combination of heat and pregnancy can be too much, even for seasoned practitioners.
That said, if you've been doing hot yoga consistently before pregnancy, some doctors might give the green light for modified practice in early pregnancy.
Always consult your healthcare provider first, you are growing a human after all!
What should I do if I feel dizzy, nauseous, or overheated during class?
Listen to your body—it's usually smarter than your ambition!
If you start feeling like the room is spinning more than your chakras, take a break in child's pose, focus on deep breathing, or simply sit down.
Don't be a hero - our instructors won't judge you for taking care of yourself; in fact, they'll probably give you a gold star for practicing true yoga wisdom!
What's the best way to clean my yoga mat after a hot yoga class?
After turning your mat into a yogic swamp (in the best way), give it some TLC!
To best clean a yoga mat, a good approach is to wipe it down with a damp cloth and a mild soap solution after each use. For deeper cleaning, you can soak the mat in a lukewarm water bath with dish soap and baking soda, then rinse and dry it thoroughly, ensuring no soap residue remains.
Do you have any age restrictions for your classes?
We welcome yogis from 16 years and up in our adult classes.
Teens 13-15 can join with a participating adult (someone has to drive them home anyway!).Â
Remember, in yoga years, we're all ageless—it's not about how long you've been on the planet, but how present you are on your mat!
Do your teachers offer hands-on adjustments, and can I opt out?
Our teachers do offer alignment assists, but only with consent!
If you're comfortable with hands-on adjustments, you don't need to do anything.
If you prefer not to be touched during class, simply let your teacher know beforehand—a quick, quiet word before class starts is perfect.
No explanation needed—your body, your choice!
We believe adjustments should feel like helpful guidance, not like someone trying to fold you into human origami.
What should I do if I'm recovering from an injury but want to attend class?
First, get clearance from your healthcare provider—we're yoga teachers, not miracle workers!
Then, arrive early and chat with your instructor about your situation. They'll suggest modifications and ways to keep your body happy.
Remember: yoga is about honouring your body today, not forcing it to match what it could do last year or what your neighbour can do.
The true advanced practice is knowing when to pull back!
How soon after illness is it safe to return to yoga?
Give yourself at least 24-48 hours after symptoms subside before returning to regular classes, and maybe a bit longer before jumping back into the hot room.
Your body needs energy to heal, and while yoga can be restorative, an intense class might delay your recovery.
When you do return, take it easier than a sloth on vacation.
And please, keep your post-cold sniffles at home—sharing is not caring when it comes to germs and coming to yoga in the hopes you'll "sweat it out", just isn't lekker for anyone!
How can I prevent yoga-related injuries?
Listen to your body, not your ego! The quickest route to Injury Town is trying to match the pretzel-like person next to you.
Focus on proper alignment, accept modifications when offered, and remember that sensations should be interesting, not excruciating.
Progress in yoga is measured in awareness, not in how deeply you can fold.
And our favorite injury prevention tip: if it feels like something's about to snap, crackle, or pop in a bad way—it probably isn't meant to bend that direction!

Wipe it down with our studio mat cleaner (available at our store) or make your own at home with water, a touch of mild soap or vinegar, and a few drops of tea tree oil. Let it air dry completely—rolling up a wet mat is like creating a science experiment in bacteria cultivation. For deep cleaning, most mats can take an occasional bath in the tub (check manufacturer instructions first).

 Admin, Logistics & PoliciesÂ
Where is the studio located?
We're conveniently located at the corner of Zen Street and Serenity Avenue—actually, you'll find us at the DP Wanderers Stadium.Â
Once you enter through the main entrance keep left and follow the signs until you find our yoga sanctuary
Is there parking available?
Yes! We have a couple of spots right outside the studio as well as an under cover parking lot that's almost as spacious as your extended triangle pose.Â
How early should I arrive for class?
Aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before your very first class, and at least 10 minutes before subsequent classes.
This gives you time to check in, get settled, and find your spot without the stress-inducing sprint that defeats the purpose of coming to yoga in the first place!
Once class starts, no latecomers will be allowed in—not because we're mean, but because disrupting everyone's practice isn't very yogic.
Plus, the practice of showing up on time is part of the yoga journey itself—it's about learning how to schedule yourself into your own life, developing discipline, and honouring commitments to yourself.
Consider it part of your practice before you even step on the mat!
Can I rent a mat/towel if I forget mine?
Absolutely! We rent both mats and towels.
We also sell both if you fall in love with them and want to make it official.
Just like forgetting your homework in school, forgetting your mat happens to everyone eventually!
What are your class prices and do you offer packages or memberships?
Single classes are R250, but we offer packages and memberships that bring the price down faster than gravity brings you into forward fold!
We also have a steal of a deal for first timers new to our studio.
You can see all the info on pricing by clicking here.
Â
How do I book for a class?
Drop in classes can be booked directly on our website or by clicking here.
If you have a package or membership, you can book with the snazzy Octive App (creating an account takes less time than holding plank pose—we promise!).
Do I need to book for class in advance?
We highly recommend it!
Popular classes fill up faster than free donuts in an office.
Booking guarantees your spot and saves you from the disappointment of showing up to a full class.
Some of our special workshops and events require advance registration, so check the details before showing up with your mat and best intentions!
What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel at least 4 hours before class to avoid being charged or losing a class from your package.
We get it—life happens—but last-minute cancellations prevent others from nabbing your spot.
Repeated no-shows might result in a gentle reminder or us assuming you've been abducted by aliens.
Either way, we'll check in!
Will I get Discovery points for a class?
Yes! Each class earns you 100 Discovery points.
Do you have showers in your change rooms?
Yes, we have clean showers stocked with eco-friendly products so you can wash away your worries (and sweat) before heading back to the real world.
Please bring your own towels for shower use, as well as your own toiletries.Â
Cause while were all about that post yoga glow and sporting the "eau de yoga studio" signature scent all day - it seems not everyone else is.
